All structures for riding arenas are more economical and longer lasting than pole barns and cost less to insure. A metal building riding arena, clearances inside the frame lines need to be a minimal of 14' clear head room and 60' to 80' wide. It is also a good idea to insulate the roof with Solar GUARD roof insulation to reflect heat & reduce noise from hard rains. Skylights can be added for natural lighting lowering lighting bills. Rollup tube type doors are better for arenas because of minimal clearance and quiet operation. Louvers with fans can be added at each end or side wall for ventilation.

Typically the floors on riding arenas are dirt. Metal buildings have "kick out" at frame lines that go from side to side of the buildings and require concrete, pier systems at each frame line. The drawing provided are for samples only for estimating. Your concrete engineer should supply you with a stamped set of piers requirements for your individual building design, after they acquire our engineer stamped kips and reaction drawings that come with the building order.
